In 1986, John Eric Alexander forever changed the feature film trailer industry with his music.
"Power", starring a young Richard Gere, was the first movie trailer to feature a custom music score by Mr. Alexander. At the time, it was unusual to custom-score trailers, and this innovative, driving track caught the attention of one of the premiere Trailer guru's of the day, Gary Kanew.
A few months later, Kanew was working on trailers for a future cult classic called "The Fly", and asked Alexander to create an original score. The music had such a positive impact on the trailer and the trailer industry as a whole, that it launched Alexander into a nearly 20 year run as a 1st call trailer composer.
From 1986 to the early 2000's, Alexander scored well over 200 trailers for Hollywood's top blockbuster movies. His signature driving, electro-rock-orchestra scores for films like the "Lethal Weapon" series, the "Die Hard" trilogy, and classics such as "The Silence of the Lambs", "A Few Good Men", "Seven" and "The Witches of Eastwick" are still considered "classics" by many in the trailer business.
